CHRISTMAS is for Grandchildren

One of the joys of Christmas is getting visits from grandchildren. Five of them came to visit us last Sunday, a few days before Christmas and the usually quiet household became vibrant again with singing, screaming, shoving and laughing. Two of them did not make it ( Oliver's kids ) because they reside in Miramichi, New Brunswick. It is quite a distance.

After lunch they went outside to the backyard and they built a snow fort. Inevitably, they had a snowball fight. One of them, Emma, came in all white with snow.

Here are the five. Of course, Bella was only 2 months old. She was spared from the rigors ( and fun ) of the snowfight.

The fort is still there under the tree. Wish it could stay there the whole year!
